Merdolino by Stefano Giovannoni

Merdolino by Stefano Giovannoni

Very ironic toilet brush made by Stefano Giovannoni in 1993 for Alessi.

The shape is that of a stylized bud, and the entire object is based on this aesthetic.

The playful language referring to the world of cartoons, typical of Stefano Giovannoni’s projects in the ’90s, finds one of its most successful expressions in this object. Without hesitation, the designer tackles an indispensable but ‘forbidden’ object, the toilet brush, transforming it into a slender jar from which a long and friendly shrub sprouts.
