Toy designed by Bruno Munari in 1952 and initially produced by Pigomma. Now the production rights are owned by Permanente Mobili of Cantù.
It is a very innovative toy for those years, because it is made of polyurethane foam and with a core of braided copper wire.
Munari was a master experimenter. He liked to get people to dare, to try, to do something new and different. And with the Zizì Monkey he totally applies this concept: a nice object, innovative for the materials with which it is made, but above all manipulable at will. And in fact, the real breakthrough in this product is that everyone can give it the shape they want, whether natural or not. He can change it whenever he wants, and he can intertwine the Monkey in unnatural and playful moves, so nothing happens. With this toy Munari stimulates creativity and the desire to play in people: in this he is a true master.
