The concept behind this coffee table is to create a sculptural object, but light at the same time. The transparent columns are a good proof of that.
The designer’s great passion for glass led him to create this object. Echino is a coffee table available in two versions, which fit perfectly side by side in terms of size and dimensions. Consisting of a sheet metal or crystal top and three sturdy glass legs that support it, the table shows all its importance and lightness through the shaded colors that characterize it. But the interesting thing is that its author has managed to make the legs the main part of the object, something that in the world of tables and coffee tables does not happen very often, since it is usually the top that dominates the scene. Moreover, this is a product that fits perfectly into the modern concept of eco-design, because it is 100% recyclable.
