Chair designed by Patricia Urquiola in 2008 and produced by Moroso.
Its distinctive feature is certainly its bright and cheerful colors.
An alternation of solids and voids, that’s what Tropicalia is. The main body of the chair is its tubular steel structure; the rest of the composition depends on it. Around this body, in fact, is wrapped a wire that can make it completely change its appearance. If I want a playful seat, nice and cheerful at the same time, I will choose the version that weaves wires of different colors. If, on the other hand, I want a more serious and composed chair, I will choose the single-color version, in which everything takes on a more homogeneous and controlled appearance. And again, if I want a product that gives off all its elegance, I can opt for the version with the leather thread. In short, Patricia Urquiola really thought of all the options when she made this object, and wanted to meet the needs of each individual person.
