Taccia by Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni

Taccia by Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni

Lamp designed by Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni in 1958 and produced by Flos starting in 1962.

An undisputed icon of Italian and international design that still survives today without any changes in appearance.

A table or floor lamp with indirect and reflected light, with an adjustable diffuser and a painted aluminum body. The beauty lies in its form, elegant and formal, capable of dialoguing with any environment and surviving aging. Taccia is available in multiple finishes and two different sizes, making it more suitable as a table or floor fixture, respectively. The support is reminiscent of a Doric column, making it extremely elegant and refined. Certainly the two Castiglioni’s knew their stuff, but who knows if they would have ever imagined such a long success for their Taccia.
