This is an armchair-sculpture: its shapes are geometric and the colors well defined. One of the main examples of Dutch Neoplasticism. Even simple things can become masterpieces, and this chair is an example of that. The seat is made of beech, with a lacquered plywood seat. We all know the classic colors: black, blue, red and yellow details. All parts connect with each other without joints. The chair is strongly related to Piet Mondrian’s paintings, so we can call it an artistic object.
