Some of the wooden elements support the top, others are purely decorative.
“Ishi” in Japanese indicates the path to achieve a purpose. The eleven shaped wooden elements, made of Cedar of Lebanon, are partly load-bearing and partly not. In fact, only six of them support the crystal top, while the others have a purely decorative function and are disconnected from it. This product is a perfect mix of beauty, function and elegance and totally represents Nendo’s poetics. The wooden blocks bear shapes similar to stones, and their beauty is truly immense.
