Sciangai by De Pas, D’Urbino e Lomazzi

Sciangai by De Pas, D’Urbino e Lomazzi

Coat stand designed in 1973 by the trio De Pas, D’Urbino and Lomazzi and produced by Zanotta.

It is a closable and very innovative object, able to occupy very little space when not in use.

The name refers to the classic Chinese game. Each Sciangai wood element provides a ground support at its lower end and a support for hats, coats and other garments at the upper end. The components are connected to each other just above the center, creating a wide circumference of support at the base, which provides stability.
