Stool 60 by Alvar Aalto

Stool 60 by Alvar Aalto

Stool designed by Alvar Aalto in 1933 and manufactured by Artek.

This is one of the designer’s iconic pieces, which best reflects his philosophy and clean, natural lines.

One of the historical pieces of the collection of Artek, the natural stool par excellence, stackable and with a shape so classic and simple, to be current even after many years. Brother of the other stools e60 and x600, its essence is pure wood, in line with the Scandinavian design style. It was created at the same time as the Viipuri Library. The three legs have an L-shaped structure, and the bending process was invented by Alvar Aalto himself together with a friend who owned a furniture manufacturing company. In short, a timeless classic in the world of design.
